Speaking truth to power and expressing yourself are acts of rebellion and resistance in a society which seeks to take away your individuality; that is your personal history, your personal goals, and your personal values.

Join Community Organizer, Marty Nwachukwu as she reminds neighbors of the power of the arts in historical, and contemporary, liberation movements in America, and around the world.

Be ready to take the mic and share your own poetry, prose, or music. All are welcome. Women of color, especially African-American women, are encouraged to attend and share stories.
